Vorwaerts
, the monthly newspaper of the SPD party, celebrated its 130th year
and the launch of the newspaper's new layout in the old e -werk
building in Wilhelm strasse. The motto of the event was "Eine
Zukunft mit Geschichte" - A Future with History.
A slide installation
was developed using extracts from vorwaerts issues throughout
its history: headlines, graphics, and the faces of politicians
and influential vorwaerts workers. The installation struck a balance
between emphasizing these historical elements and illuminating
timeless values like justice, solidarity and freedom.
