Freelancer, contemporary theater SLIDE and VIDEO component of contemporary theater piece, Staatsbank, Berlin, 2001 F r e e l a n c e r, S t a a t s b a n k , B e r l i n Freelancer by Carrie Hampel combined elements of acrobatics, dance, original music and video to produce a piece about the trials and tribulations of working as a freelancer. The video element of the show was devised to fulfill particular dramaturgical functions: acting as a background visualisation of one character's subconscious, and then taking center stage as the entire performance culminates in a blind date-style TV show.
