MIRROR SWIRL MONUMENTAL TOWER WERTANLAGEN 1 WERTANLAGEN 2 NOTANGO TOTAL AUSVERKAUF WERTANLAGEN 2, Group exhibition VIDEO INSTALLATION for Sparkasse Vest Bank, Recklinghausen, 2007 The WERTANLAGEN 2 project in the Sparkasse Vest Bank extended investigation of the values theme further by interviewing bank customers and employees, members of the community, across a spectrum of income brackets and ages, about what is important to them, their values - material and spiritual. These interviews were represented in the form of a VALUES POOL, a camera-obsura-like construction, where the faces of the protagonists appear in imaginary talking bank notes, as if floating in a pool of money, edited to form one continuous monologue made up of many voices, sometimes in agreement sometimes engaged in a conflicting virtual conversation. This construction was installed in the main hall of the bank among the ATMs, statement printers and money counting machine.
